Rebuilding and Restructuring Care
Care is arranged for those who have a new (acute) or old (chronic) injury that requires focused attention and longer treatments. This is also for the individual who has questions that require individualized time with the doctor. Body/Muscle Work might include any combination of the following:

Deep Tissue:
This muscle technique is a slow, deep process that can relieve tension and stored up stress by treating the deeper muscles. This form of massage can include some moderate discomfort or pain. A cross-fiber motion is used that works against the grain of muscles, tendons, and fascia to break up adhesions. An adhesion — or what you feel as a knot is a collection of muscle fibers that have laid down once or several times when you over did it or did more than you know you should. Those times when you felt a little pain or discomfort and ignored it, the adhesion didn't go away, it grew bigger.

Active Release Technique (ART®):
This muscle technique restores mobility and hydration to the fibrous connective tissue that encloses your muscles and organs. Fascia encompasses all of the major organs, bones, and muscles connecting the body from head to toe, providing support and structure to the body. Fascia also plays an important role in waste and nutrient transportation, immune system functioning, and metabolism. ART® techniques are slow, using no oil, and incorporate breathing of the client to facilitate the movement and release of fascia restrictions. Regular ART® therapy increases metabolic efficiency, and thus improves overall health, improves posture, and alleviates chronic pain and discomfort.

Trigger Point Therapy:
Deep pressure points are used to help relieve muscular knots or adhesions that are either referring to another place on your body and/or minimizing joint motion. This is a form of muscle work that focuses on healing injuries by breaking up the adhesions to restore normal muscle, joint motion, and reduction of pain.

PNF Stretch:
This is a form of stretch designed for nerves, muscle, and fascia restrictions. It is a combination of stretch/ strengthening techniques to promote healthy muscle tone and overall health of the receiver.
